Nissan is adding an all-new vehicle to its roster, and it’s their most technologically advanced car to date. The 2023 Nissan Ariya takes electric vehicles to new heights, building on Nissan’s rich history of being an EV pioneer. From capability, connectivity, and power, every aspect has been carefully crafted to give the most seamless driving experience.
The Ariya will be available for purchase in early 2022. Here’s what drivers can look forward to from the all-new EV:
Performance for a variety of needs
With the Ariya, there’s no need to compromise on performance. Get the satisfaction of a clean drive with the power and performance of a conventional gas vehicle. The car’s all-electric powertrain provides a smooth, quiet, and powerful delivery, while the drivetrain makes it suitable for most road conditions. Another bonus is that it comes in multiple configurations, meaning there are options for every lifestyle need. Drivers can choose between 2WD and e-4ORCE all-wheel-drive, as well as regular and extended battery sizes. So whether you need a car for daily urban commutes or long treks across the country, the Ariya can do-it-all.
One thing that sets the Ariya apart from the rest is its e-4ORCE all-wheel-drive technology.
This system stabilizes the EV on practically every surface by using twin motors that elevate traction. In addition, the Ariya can transfer 100% power from the front wheels to the back, producing the highest level of precision control. So no matter which roads you choose to journey on – icy, wet, or snow-covered – the Ariya can navigate it.
High-tech, low-stress
Named Nissan’s “most advanced vehicle” to date, the Ariya has a long roster of technology and safety features. Some of these include autonomous driving assist, seamless connectivity, and even Alexa.
Thanks to the ProPILOT 2.0, an advanced driver assistance system, drivers can enjoy stress-free driving on the road. The ProPILOT 2.0 can control steering, acceleration, and braking, allowing drivers to remove their hands from the wheel while the Ariya does the work. The system can do so by using 360° traffic monitoring and highway mapping, which detects traffic flow and ensures the vehicle is a safe distance away from other cars. Then, when you’ve arrived at your destination, turn on ProPILOT park, which will glide you into a spot at the push of a button.
It doesn’t stop there, though. Another convenience feature is that drivers can check their car’s battery status from their phones. Similarly, they can also use their phone to adjust the temperature and climate control before entering their vehicle. The Ariya also includes an Intelligent Route Planner, which sends a reminder when it’s time to leave for your destination. Additionally, the Route Planner also monitors road conditions and suggests alternative routes to keep travel times short.
To top it off, the Nissan Ariya comes with an Alexa feature. This allows drivers to ask for vehicle information, have in-cabin features controlled, and manage the travel route – all without having to look away from the road. Alexa can also perform vehicle-to-home functions, including turning on home lights and opening the garage door.
Luxurious interior
The 2023 Ariya is a token of Nissan’s new design language, something they call: Timeless Japanese Futurism. The design pulls sleek, simple, and modern style elements inspired by Japanese culture. When creating the Ariya, Nissan wanted it to be more than an excellent EV crossover – they wanted it to be a source of joy as well. In achieving this, they’ve designed the interior to be an ultra-comfortable, spa-like environment. Some features include Zero Gravity seating, ample storage space, 60/40 split-folding rear seats, two sizable full-color display screens, and a flat floor.
2023 Nissan Ariya: Charging & Costs
It’s a common myth that owning an EV is more expensive than a conventional gas vehicle. The reality is that the cost of owning a traditional car isn’t just what you pay upfront. It’s also the gas, routine maintenance work, etc. When you go EV, you save money not only on fuel and maintenance work but also on federal and state tax incentives. Additionally, electric vehicles have fewer moving parts, which means you can avoid paying for costly repairs. With EVs, you can say goodbye to gas stations and oil changes forever.
One of the biggest reasons to go EV is the at-home charging. The 2023 Nissan Ariya takes this to another level by offering scheduled home charging, which chooses times when electricity costs are lower. Start your commute every day with a full battery while paying the smallest price. If you’re away from home, the Ariya can be charged at public charging stations and fast-charging ports.
The Ariya is rated to have about 300 miles of driving range per charge. This outpaces similar-sized vehicles, including Jaguar’s I-Pace and Audi’s E-Tron, which have 234 and 204 miles of range, respectively.
Nissan Ariya Trim Levels
The all-new 2023 Nissan Ariya is expected to go on sale in early 2022. Drivers can choose between two different drive trains (2WD and e-4orce All-Wheel Drive) and two different battery sizes. The Ariya will be available in 10 different colors, including 6 two-tone paints.
